Andreas Ocklenburg
CEO at cloudSME
Andreas Ocklenburg, CEO of cloudSME, originally studied chemistry. He is an entrepreneur and was founder and manager of several ICT companies since 1984. In 2013 he joined cloudSME-project (FP7) as WP leader – since then, he is active in the field of cloud computing for M&E in European Research and Innovation Projects. In 2016 he founded the technology start-up cloudSME in Germany to sustain the outcomes of the cloudSME project. cloudSME offers, among other things, cloud based HPC infrastructures as a service and on demand, based on European infrastructures and with a focus on Cloud Native Technologies. Today, Andreas Ocklenburg is, together with his cloudSME team, a driving force in bringing advanced ICT services via a European Marketplace to DIHs and industry (CloudiFacturing Project, cloudifacturing.eu & DigitBrain Project, digitbrain.eu).
