ews beta phase

On 4 April 2022, the beta phase of emGORA workspace was released. The B2B ecosystem gives manufacturing companies access to directly executable software tools, training packages, consulting services as well as matchmaking offers. The official Market launch is foreseen for the 1st of June.

In an increasingly connected world, we can reach whatever and whomever we want. We are living in the age of information overload. You can find everything on the internet, but you can also be found by everyone. It is both a curse and a blessing for us. This is also reflected in the economy. To cope with the existing oversupply of information and to create transparency in the market, there have been increased efforts in recent years to provide trustworthy solutions that comply with security guidelines and European data protection.

Trusted Digital Platforms - European Data Sovereignty

The movement of trusted digital platforms in Europe continues to progress, and the European government and its economy are aiming to protect data of Europeans as well as to become more competitive on the global market, one of the most prominent initiatives being GAIA-X. But next to GAIA-X, there are plenty of specialized initiatives that are aiming to contribute to the European overall vision. Like the emGORA workspace (ews), that offers a trustworthy place for manufacturers on the internet that actively protects data of their users instead of making money with it.

emGORA workspace - B2B ecosystem for the manufacturing sector

The emGORA workspace makes it easier for companies in the manufacturing sector to get started with digital transformation. ews is a community-driven digital platform of companies, digital innovation hubs, universities, software developers and industry experts. The ecosystem and its members can support companies in their digital transformation through directly executable software tools, ad-hoc consulting as well as training offers. Furthermore, the ews facilitates the knowledge sharing amongst members about common methods as well as best practices in the interactive community area and allows them to find new partners on the matchmaking market. Companies will not only be able to access learning material from different providers to gain an understanding of the technologies offered on the ews, such as data analytics and simulations, but will also be able to try out full-featured technologies and software and use them again and again as needed.

Software tools, Training Packages, Consulting Services and Matchmaking

The ews is intended to make it easier for the manufacturing industry to enter the digital universe and, in the long term, to support these companies in digital transformation processes with experts, matchmaking as well as innovative software solutions. The costs for the offered services are clearly displayed, which enables companies to better estimate project costs and investments for innovative solutions and to calculate them more realistically without having a profound understanding of the technology and software. The ews is always accessible and companies relying on the infrastructure provided eliminate the need to purchase expensive local workstations, software tools, and computers with sufficient computing power, which are still necessary for many data analysis or simulations.

Security through technical design.

The technical design of the ews enables us to offer our members the greatest possible flexibility and security. In doing so, the security of records, personal information, and the privacy of individual organisations on our digital platform are managed as a top priority. This means that from the start databases, datasets and other information (like trainings, software, projects) cannot be manipulated. All structures are designed to give users and operators as much access as necessary, but as little access as possible.

Ready - Set - Compute!

Within the ews ecosystem you can easily get started, ews provides you with both cloud and HPC resources from different providers. Software developers and software companies, which we like to call emGORA workspace providers, take care of the provision of their software tool and ensure that you, as a user, have the optimal conditions to run the purchased software tool on an as-needed basis.

Without the right perspective, the best software for companies is worth nothing. That's why, in addition to the software and training we offer, we've also set up an online consulting centre in our ecosystem. Qualified members can provide consulting services and support for other members by offering self-assessed and accompanied consulting projects. In these ad-hoc consulting projects, consultants and consultants come together online and can master the project together.

Apply as an ews early bird - Beta phase starts on 4th of April!

ews is currently in the alpha phase and on 4 April our ecosystem will enter the beta phase. During the beta phase, the ecosystem is open to friends and interested companies (consultants, software providers and industry experts). They are invited to apply informally with a short profile and a brief description of the relevant offering. Applications will be accepted by liza@cloudsme.eu. The aim of the beta phase is to test active operation, gather feedback on use and handling and further improve the ecosystem until the public market launch at Hannover Messe 2022.

So, any company can just sign up and benefit from ews?

The community and our members come first, so to ensure safety and fair interaction, every organisation must undergo a validation process and sign the ews Code of Conduct. This specifies how to behave in the ecosystem.

Together, we can do what we cannot do alone.

The ews help our members to be successful in their business, and SMEs to better master their own digital transformation through our members. Our qualified members can actively support companies and stand out from the mass of the European market through their commitment. Every member, whether provider or user, will discover their personal advantages in the ecosystem and benefit through transparent services in a secure digital ecosystem.

Market launch on 1st of June

emGORA workspace is a community-oriented marketplace for manufacturing companies and is operated by cloudSME. Decisions about the ecosystem are not made by cloudSME alone, but are discussed and evaluated with the ews advisory board. This is to ensure that new developments and strategies are in line with the needs of the members. ews will be freely accessible to everyone from 1st of June.
